ArcTouch is building a practice focused on the future of search and on how brands are discovered across traditional search engines and AI-powered experiences.

As part of this growing practice, you’ll work at the intersection of SEO, Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), and Answer Engine Optimization (AEO). You’ll help clients understand how their brands appear across Google and other search engines, as well as AI platforms such as Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude, and Copilot.

This is a highly collaborative and client-facing role. You’ll partner with strategists, engineers, content teams, analytics professionals, and senior client stakeholders to assess digital visibility, develop practical strategies, and deliver measurable business outcomes.

You’ll also play an important role in shaping ArcTouch’s evolving SEO, GEO, and AEO practice by helping develop repeatable methodologies, tools, and points of view in a rapidly changing space.

Role Expectations

As a Senior SEO, GEO & AEO Strategist, you’ll independently lead client engagements from assessment through strategy, implementation, experimentation, and measurement.

You will:

• Lead SEO, GEO, and AEO engagements for clients, from initial discovery and assessment to strategic recommendations and performance measurement.
• Conduct technical SEO, content, search-intent, competitor, keyword/query, content-gap, and AI-readiness assessments.
• Analyze how clients and competitors appear across traditional search engines and AI-powered experiences, including citations, mentions, rankings, and competitive share of voice.
• Translate complex SEO, search, and AI concepts into clear recommendations for senior stakeholders.
• Develop prioritized roadmaps based on business impact, feasibility, and measurable outcomes.
• Build strategies across technical SEO, content, authority, semantic search, entity optimization, and AI visibility.
• Optimize content for both traditional search results and AI-powered answers.
• Help clients build topical authority through expert content, original research, thought leadership, digital PR, and authoritative mentions.
• Assess whether search engines and AI systems can effectively discover, understand, retrieve, and cite client content.
• Evaluate crawlability, indexing, site architecture, internal linking, technical performance, structured data, Schema.org, JSON-LD, semantic HTML, and AI crawler accessibility.
• Apply concepts such as RAG, grounding, semantic retrieval, query fan-out, reciprocal rank fusion, context limitations, citations versus mentions, entities, and knowledge graphs to practical client recommendations.
• Critically evaluate emerging GEO techniques, distinguishing proven practices from experimentation and hype.
• Define and track SEO and AI-search performance using tools such as Google Search Console, GA4, Ahrefs, Semrush, Screaming Frog, and AI visibility platforms.
• Measure organic performance, AI citations and mentions, brand visibility, competitive share of voice, and broader business outcomes.
• Design experiments and contribute to repeatable SEO, GEO, and AEO assessments, methodologies, and tools.
• Build trusted relationships with clients and confidently guide them through what to do next.

What you’ll bring

• Strong hands-on SEO experience, ideally supporting complex or enterprise websites.
• Deep knowledge of technical SEO, content strategy, search intent, structured data, semantic search, and authority building.
• Practical understanding of GEO, AEO, AI-powered search, RAG, retrieval, citations, entities, and knowledge graphs.
• Strong experience with SEO analytics, crawling, research, and competitive intelligence tools.
• Ability to independently analyze a client’s digital presence and turn findings into a clear, prioritized strategy.
• Excellent client-facing, presentation, and communication skills, including experience working with senior stakeholders.
• Strong consulting skills and the ability to build trusted client relationships.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, content, strategy, analytics, and marketing teams.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Strong analytical thinking, technical curiosity, and the ability to learn quickly in a fast-changing field.

Nice to have

• Agency or consulting experience with enterprise clients.
• Experience with AI visibility platforms such as Profound or Peec AI.
• Experience with entity SEO, knowledge graphs, and digital PR.
• Familiarity with HTML, JavaScript, Python, SQL, APIs, or automation.
• Experience using AI tools and agents to support SEO workflows.
• International or multilingual SEO experience.

You don’t need to have every emerging technology on your résumé. Strong SEO fundamentals, analytical thinking, technical curiosity, client presence, and the ability to separate meaningful innovation from hype matter most.

In a typical day with us you will

• Review a client’s organic search and AI visibility performance using tools such as Google Search Console, GA4, Ahrefs, Semrush, Screaming Frog, or AI visibility platforms.
• Analyze how a client and its competitors are represented across Google, AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude, Copilot, and other discovery experiences.
• Investigate technical issues related to crawling, indexing, internal linking, structured data, semantic HTML, site architecture, performance, or AI crawler accessibility.
• Research search intent, queries, competitors, content gaps, entities, citations, mentions, and opportunities to strengthen topical authority.
• Lead client workshops, discovery sessions, strategy discussions, and presentations with senior stakeholders.
• Translate technical findings and emerging AI-search concepts into clear, practical recommendations.
• Work with engineers to define technical improvements and with content teams to shape content, authority, and thought-leadership strategies.
• Prioritize initiatives based on expected business impact, implementation effort, and measurable outcomes.
• Design experiments to understand what improves organic visibility, AI citations, brand mentions, and competitive presence.
• Review performance data and refine recommendations based on results.
• Stay current on changes in search engines, AI platforms, retrieval systems, citations, entities, and emerging GEO practices.
• Document insights and contribute to ArcTouch’s evolving SEO, GEO, and AEO methodologies, tools, and points of view.
• Help clients confidently understand what is changing in search and what they should do next.
